The Call
The neighborhoods that once existed to the north and south of the newly Southern
Expressway are gone, but the bonds that grew out of living through struggles is
enough to gather us together annually for food, dance & friendship.
There is so much and so many who have made us who we are. What will our children's
children have of us? Do you remember the day.... The Vine Street Connection! Maybe
you lived there! Maybe you played there! Maybe family and friends lived there!
Maybe you walked past Vine Street or down Frederick, Sprigg, Good Hope, Middle, or the Streets of Jackson, Missouri to your home, work or to a grocery store.
We lived in Cape Girardeau & Jackson, Missouri, or we visited
friends and relatives of
Cape Girardeau & Jackson, Missouri. We lived in and
participated in a community of
love. How much they gave!!! What was given to us must be passed on.
2016 is our call to continue the experience of this incredible gathering. Plan to come
reminisce, share and fellowship!
